Floor console air conditioning in Ewell
If your home in Ewell is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. The South East sees some of the UK's warmest summer days, and south-facing rooms and conservatories feel it first.
Where a house in Ewell has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Ewell sits around 14 miles from Woking, inside our Surrey area. Coverage includes KT17.
Prices in Ewell
Our South East England guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,645–£3,595 per room, VAT included. Prices here sit above the national middle, reflecting South East England labour rates and parking and access costs. What moves a quote in Ewell up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. Typical Popular work (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) lands around £2,145–£2,845 in this area.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.
Premium
Larger capacity or concealed pipework through the floor void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. We book surveys in Ewell at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
