Who we are

This website is run by Aircon Installers. For personal data collected through this website (forms, the guide price tool, live chat, WhatsApp messages and analytics) the data controller is S&K Group Holdings Ltd, company number 16703925, registered office Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. S&K Group Holdings Ltd passes your enquiry to its group company S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd (company number 16932889), which trades as Aircon Installers, under its legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. From the point S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd contacts you to arrange a survey or prepare a quote, it is a separate controller for that data and for any contract and customer records.

What we collect

Enquiry and quote forms: name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you are interested in, your message, the page you sent it from, and your guide price tool choices.
Live chat (Tawk.to): what you type, your name and contact details if you give them, and technical data such as IP address and browser.
WhatsApp: your phone number, profile name and messages if you contact us on WhatsApp (provided by Meta).
Analytics (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept cookies: pages viewed, device and approximate location, and events such as form submissions and phone-link clicks.
Calls and emails you send us. If we record a call, we tell you at the start of it.
Customer records if you go ahead: property address, survey notes and photos, quotes, contracts, payments and service records.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quote: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
To carry out and manage work you have agreed: performance of a contract.
To keep refrigerant (F-gas), tax and accounting records: legal obligation.
To understand how the website is used: your consent, given through the cookie banner, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not send marketing unless you ask us to.

You do not have to give us your details, but without contact details and a postcode we cannot respond to an enquiry or arrange a survey. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.

Who we share it with

Within the S&K Group as described above, and with the engineers who carry out your survey and installation on our behalf, so they can contact you and do the work. We also use service providers who process data for us: Web3Forms (form delivery), Tawk.to (live chat), Meta (WhatsApp), Google (analytics, only with consent), Netlify (website hosting), ImprovMX and our email provider (email forwarding and storage), and Higgsfield (hosting of images and video shown on the site, which does not receive your form data). For a Boiler Upgrade Scheme job, we also share the details needed with the MCS-certified installer who applies for the grant, with MCS, and with Ofgem, which runs the scheme. We do not sell your data.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months.
Customer, contract and payment records: 6 years after the end of the contract.
F-gas records: at least 5 years, as the F-gas rules require.
Live chat transcripts and WhatsApp messages: up to 12 months.
Analytics data: 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting what was done before. Contact us using the details above.

Complaints about your data

If you are unhappy with how we have used your data, please tell us first at info@aircon-installers.co.uk. We acknowledge data protection complaints within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
