Floor console air conditioning in Bridgwater
Where a room in Bridgwater has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Damp South West winters make the dehumidifying side of a heat pump almost as useful as its cooling.
Where a house in Bridgwater has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Our Somerset coverage takes in Bridgwater, about 9 miles from Taunton. Coverage includes TA6.

Our South West England guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,350–£2,950 per room, VAT included. That is close to the UK middle for this kind of work. Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
