Floor console air conditioning in Ruthin
Where a room in Ruthin has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Exposed coastal sites in North Wales call for outdoor units placed out of the wind and salt spray where possible.
If your home in Ruthin is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. Ruthin lies roughly 14 miles from Wrexham, and we cover it as part of Clwyd. Homes in LL15 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Ruthin
Guide prices around Ruthin run from £1,245 to £2,745 per room including VAT. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in North Wales tend to be. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.
The survey
We book surveys in Ruthin at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. On a survey in Ruthin the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
