Floor console air conditioning in Llandudno
If your home in Llandudno is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. In North Wales, an air-to-air system can be an efficient way to heat holiday homes and bungalows, with cooling as a bonus.
Where a house in Llandudno has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. We cover Llandudno as part of Clwyd, roughly 40 miles from Wrexham. We cover LL30 and the streets around them.
Prices in Llandudno
In North Wales, our guide range for floor console air conditioning is £1,245–£2,745 per room, including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical North Wales labour rates. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. Typical Popular work (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) lands around £1,645–£2,195 in this area.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.

Surveys in Llandudno cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. We book surveys in Llandudno at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
