Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Pontypool
For Pontypool houses with decorated or panelled walls, a slim unit with concealed pipework keeps the room looking finished. In South and Mid Wales, efficient heating is often as important as cooling.
Design-led units suit Pontypool homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. We cover Pontypool as part of Gwent, roughly 8 miles from Newport, Gwent. Postcode districts we cover here include NP4.

Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.
The survey
We book surveys in Pontypool at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. A survey in Pontypool usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
