Smart controls and Wi-Fi upgrades in Workington
Milder summers in the North West mean designing for winter comfort as much as for a heatwave. Smart control is a simple upgrade for Workington homes with a working system but no app.
Most home systems from the last decade can take a plug-in Wi-Fi adapter, and we confirm yours from the model number before visiting Workington. Workington sits around 30 miles from Carlisle, inside our Cumbria area. We cover CA14 and the streets around them.
Prices in Workington
Guide prices around Workington run from £90 to £280 per indoor unit including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical North West England labour rates. More indoor units, or older models that need an infrared controller instead of a plug-in adapter, are what move the price. For reference, the Whole system option in Workington (modules for two to four indoor units, one app) usually comes to about £235–£545.

Permissions
Fitting a Wi-Fi module does not touch the refrigerant circuit and needs no planning permission; the only checks are model compatibility and a reliable signal at the indoor unit.
The visit
Visits in Workington are booked at a price agreed with you in advance. If the engineer finds anything beyond the agreed work, they explain it and price it before carrying it out. A photo of the indoor unit's label and a short description of the problem help us price the visit accurately and bring what is likely to be needed.
