Air conditioning replacement and removal in Devizes
Units over fifteen years old in Devizes homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. In the South West, a system that heats well through damp winters is often as valuable as summer cooling.
During building work in Devizes, units can be recovered and removed so the job can go ahead safely. We cover Devizes as part of Wiltshire, roughly 17 miles from Swindon. We cover SN10 and the streets around them.
Prices in Devizes
For Devizes, expect roughly £195 to £495 to remove and recover one system, VAT included, adjusted for typical South West England rates. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. For reference, the Like-for-like option in Devizes (replace one system using sound existing routes) usually comes to about £1,150–£2,250.

Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. Surveys in Devizes cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
