Air conditioning replacement and removal in Ketton
Replacements in Ketton can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. In the East Midlands, one system that cools in summer and heats efficiently in winter makes good use of the investment.
Units over fifteen years old in Ketton homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. Ketton sits around 8 miles from Oakham, inside our Rutland area. Postcode districts we cover here include PE9.
Prices in Ketton
In the East Midlands, our guide range for air conditioning replacement and removal is £185–£495 to remove and recover one system, including VAT. Labour rates in the East Midlands keep this slightly under the national middle. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. As an example, the Like-for-like option (replace one system using sound existing routes) would typically be £1,095–£2,145 here.
Remove only
Recover and remove one system, make good.
Like-for-like
Replace one system using sound existing routes.
Upgrade
New, more efficient system with new routes.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
