Air conditioning replacement and removal in Corby
Units over fifteen years old in Corby homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. East Midlands summers bring dry, sunny spells, so glazing and orientation matter most when sizing a unit.
Replacements in Corby can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. We cover Corby as part of Northamptonshire, roughly 19 miles from Northampton. That includes the NN17 postcode district.
Prices in Corby
In the East Midlands, our guide range for air conditioning replacement and removal is £185–£495 to remove and recover one system, including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical East Midlands labour rates. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. Typical Like-for-like work (replace one system using sound existing routes) lands around £1,095–£2,145 in this area.

Planning and permissions
For most houses in Corby, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
A survey in Corby usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. We book surveys in Corby at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
