Air conditioning replacement and removal in Romford
Units over fifteen years old in Romford homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. The urban heat island effect means London bedrooms can stay uncomfortably warm on summer nights.
Replacements in Romford can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. Romford is about 14 miles from central London and falls within our London coverage. Postcode districts we cover here include RM1.
Prices in Romford
For Romford, expect roughly £255 to £645 to remove and recover one system, VAT included, adjusted for typical London rates. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in London. Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. A survey in Romford usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
