Air conditioning replacement and removal in Dagenham
The urban heat island effect means London bedrooms can stay uncomfortably warm on summer nights. Units over fifteen years old in Dagenham homes are worth replacing before they fail completely.
Replacements in Dagenham can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. Dagenham lies roughly 13 miles from central London, and we cover it as part of London. That includes the RM10 postcode district.
Prices in Dagenham
Our London guide price for air conditioning replacement and removal is £255–£645 to remove and recover one system, VAT included. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in London. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. Typical Like-for-like work (replace one system using sound existing routes) lands around £1,495–£2,945 in this area.

Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
