Replacements in Fareham can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. We cover Fareham as part of Hampshire, roughly 10 miles from Southampton. That includes the PO16 postcode district.

Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
On a survey in Fareham the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. Surveys in Fareham cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
