Air conditioning replacement and removal in Kingswood
During building work in Kingswood, units can be recovered and removed so the job can go ahead safely. Damp South West winters make the dehumidifying side of a heat pump almost as useful as its cooling.
Replacements in Kingswood can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. We cover Kingswood as part of Gloucestershire, roughly 31 miles from Gloucester. Postcode districts we cover here include BS15 and GL12.
Prices in Kingswood
Air conditioning replacement and removal in Kingswood typically comes in at £195–£495 to remove and recover one system including VAT, based on South West England rates. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Like-for-like option (replace one system using sound existing routes) would typically be £1,150–£2,250 here.

Planning and permissions
For most houses in Kingswood, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
Surveys in Kingswood cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. A survey in Kingswood usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
