New build and renovation air conditioning in Hinckley
East Midlands summers bring dry, sunny spells, so glazing and orientation matter most when sizing a unit. Renovations in Hinckley are the easiest jobs to make invisible, because the pipework goes in before the plaster.
For new Hinckley extensions with flat roofs, the outdoor unit position is best agreed against the architect's drawings. Hinckley lies roughly 12 miles from Leicester, and we cover it as part of Leicestershire. Postcode districts we cover here include LE10.
Prices in Hinckley
In the East Midlands, our guide range for air conditioning for new builds and renovations is £380–£845 per indoor position (first fix), including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical East Midlands labour rates. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. For reference, the First and second fix option in Hinckley (complete install priced per room including units) usually comes to about £1,395–£2,845.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Working with your builder
On build projects the main thing is timing with your builder and electrician; we fit first-fix pipework before plastering and agree the outdoor unit position early.
The survey
On a survey in Hinckley the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. Surveys in Hinckley cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
