Home air conditioning in Hinckley
Summer peaks in the East Midlands make bedrooms under the roof the hardest rooms to keep comfortable. Our Leicestershire coverage takes in Hinckley, about 12 miles from Leicester. Homes in LE10 are all within our coverage.
Rooms and systems
Spring is the most useful time for a service visit in Hinckley, before the first warm spell. We service most makes found in Hinckley homes, including systems we did not install. Fault codes on Hinckley systems are read on the first visit, so the repair is quoted against the real cause. In an older house in Hinckley, the loft and any existing bulkheads decide whether a ducted layout will work.
For a single hot bedroom or living room, a wall-mounted split is usually the simplest answer. Two to four rooms often suit a multi-split on one outdoor unit, while a ducted system hides everything except the grilles. If heating matters as much as cooling, an air-to-air heat pump sized for winter can replace old electric heaters room by room, and still cool in summer.
Guide prices in Hinckley
On our East Midlands figures, a garden room system is typically £1,395–£2,995 per system, a deep clean £140–£235 per indoor unit, and a service £90–£180 per system visit, all including VAT. Installations are fixed in writing after a free survey; visits are priced before we come.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Hinckley, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey. For flats in Hinckley, the lease and the freeholder's consent come first. Planning rules for blocks of flats are stricter than for houses, and we check them before quoting.
If your home in Hinckley is replacing fossil fuel or electric heating, and no gas, oil or LPG boiler stays in use, an MCS-certified air-to-air heat pump may qualify for the £2,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant, which the MCS-certified installer claims and deducts from the price.
