New build and renovation air conditioning in Caernarfon
For new Caernarfon extensions with flat roofs, the outdoor unit position is best agreed against the architect's drawings. In North Wales, an air-to-air system can be an efficient way to heat holiday homes and bungalows, with cooling as a bonus.
Renovations in Caernarfon are the easiest jobs to make invisible, because the pipework goes in before the plaster. Caernarfon is about 8 miles from Bangor, Gwynedd and falls within our Gwynedd coverage. Postcode districts we cover here include LL55.
Prices in Caernarfon
Our North Wales guide price for air conditioning for new builds and renovations is £370–£845 per indoor position (first fix), VAT included. Labour rates in North Wales keep this slightly under the national middle. What moves a quote in Caernarfon up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. As an example, the First and second fix option (complete install priced per room including units) would typically be £1,345–£2,745 here.

Ducted design and build

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Working with your builder
Because the pipework is built into the structure, coordination with your builder matters more than planning here; the outdoor unit follows the same rules as any other installation.

The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
