Home gym and media room air conditioning across Argyll and Bute
For a home cinema in Oban, we place the indoor unit so airflow stays away from the screen and seating. Garage gyms and media rooms in Oban often face the same problem: thin walls and a lot of heat from people and equipment. Here, heat pumps are sized for low winter temperatures and exposed sites.
Prices in Argyll and Bute
Air conditioning for home gyms and media rooms in Argyll and Bute typically comes in at £1,195–£2,995 per room including VAT, based on Highlands, Islands and North East Scotland rates. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical Highlands, Islands and North East Scotland labour rates. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Garage gym option (3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed) would typically be £1,545–£2,195 here.

Planning and permissions
In Scotland, planning conditions for outdoor units depend on the property type and location; conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. On a survey in Argyll and Bute the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
