Heat load surveys and system design in Tredegar
No two rooms in Tredegar gain or lose heat in quite the same way, which is exactly why rooms are measured before sizing. Humid summer spells in South Wales make dehumidifying and cooling equally welcome.
Every Tredegar quote starts with a room-by-room survey rather than a guess from floor area. Tredegar lies roughly 17 miles from Newport, Gwent, and we cover it as part of Gwent. Coverage includes NP22.
Prices in Tredegar
Our South and Mid Wales guide price for heat load surveys and system design is £365–£1,145 for a standalone design pack, VAT included. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in South and Mid Wales tend to be. The design pack price depends mainly on the number of rooms and whether full drawings and equipment schedules are needed. As an example, the Design pack option (drawings and schedules for one home) would typically be £365–£745 here.

Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.
The survey
A survey in Tredegar usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
