Garden room and home office air conditioning in Catford
For a garden room in Catford, the outdoor unit usually sits on a small stand behind the building. In London, heat soaks into brick and concrete during the day and comes back out at night, which is when it is hardest to sleep.
Garden offices used every day in Catford need cooling in summer and efficient heat in winter. Our London coverage takes in Catford, about 6 miles from central London. That includes the SE6 postcode district.

Garden room and home office air conditioning in Catford typically comes in at £1,895–£4,145 per system including VAT, based on London rates. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. As an example, the Popular option (3.5 kW unit with Wi-Fi to warm up before you walk down the garden) would typically be £2,345–£3,245 here.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
Surveys in Catford cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
