Floor console air conditioning in Kenilworth
Away from the coast, West Midlands summers can turn hot quickly, and bedrooms under the roof are the first to suffer. If your home in Kenilworth is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit.
Where a house in Kenilworth has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Kenilworth sits around 13 miles from Nuneaton, inside our Warwickshire area. Homes in CV8 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Kenilworth
Floor console air conditioning in Kenilworth typically comes in at £1,295–£2,895 per room including VAT, based on West Midlands rates. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) would typically be £1,695–£2,295 here.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.
Premium
Larger capacity or concealed pipework through the floor void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
On a survey in Kenilworth the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. We book surveys in Kenilworth at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
