Floor console air conditioning in Bedworth
If your home in Bedworth is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. Hot spells in the West Midlands are shorter but intense, especially in loft rooms and rooms with big windows.
Where a house in Bedworth has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Our Warwickshire coverage takes in Bedworth, about 3 miles from Nuneaton. That includes the CV12 postcode district.
Prices in Bedworth
In the West Midlands, our guide range for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,895 per room, including VAT. That is close to the UK middle for this kind of work. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. As an example, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) would typically be £1,695–£2,295 here.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.
Premium
Larger capacity or concealed pipework through the floor void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Bedworth, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. Surveys in Bedworth cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
