Floor console air conditioning in Doncaster
Where a room in Doncaster has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Across Yorkshire, an air-to-air system is a practical way to replace old electric heaters, with cooling for the hottest spells.
Where a house in Doncaster has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Doncaster lies roughly 17 miles from Sheffield, and we cover it as part of South Yorkshire. Postcode districts we cover here include DN1, DN2 and DN55.
Prices in Doncaster
In Yorkshire and the Humber, our guide range for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,795 per room, including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical Yorkshire and the Humber labour rates. What moves a quote in Doncaster up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. Typical Popular work (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) lands around £1,645–£2,245 in this area.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Doncaster, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. A survey in Doncaster usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
