Floor console air conditioning in Bentley
Across Yorkshire, an air-to-air system is a practical way to replace old electric heaters, with cooling for the hottest spells. Where a room in Bentley has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear.
Where a house in Bentley has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Bentley is about 17 miles from Sheffield and falls within our South Yorkshire coverage. Homes in DN5 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Bentley
Guide prices around Bentley run from £1,295 to £2,795 per room including VAT. Labour rates in Yorkshire and the Humber keep this slightly under the national middle. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. As an example, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) would typically be £1,645–£2,245 here.

HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
The survey
On a survey in Bentley the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. We book surveys in Bentley at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
