Floor console air conditioning in Brackley
Where a room in Brackley has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Summer peaks in the East Midlands make bedrooms under the roof the hardest rooms to keep comfortable.
If your home in Brackley is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. Brackley is about 19 miles from Northampton and falls within our Northamptonshire coverage. Postcode districts we cover here include NN13.
Prices in Brackley
In the East Midlands, our guide range for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,845 per room, including VAT. Labour rates in the East Midlands keep this slightly under the national middle. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. For reference, the Popular option in Brackley (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) usually comes to about £1,695–£2,245.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
We book surveys in Brackley at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
