Floor console air conditioning in Finchley
The urban heat island effect means London bedrooms can stay uncomfortably warm on summer nights. If your home in Finchley is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit.
Where a house in Finchley has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Finchley sits around 8 miles from central London, inside our London area. We cover N3 and the streets around them.
Prices in Finchley
Budget around £1,795–£3,895 per room including VAT for floor console air conditioning in and around Finchley. Prices here sit above the national middle, reflecting London labour rates and parking and access costs. What moves a quote in Finchley up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. On our London figures, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) is about £2,295–£3,095.

If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. We book surveys in Finchley at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
