Floor console air conditioning in Accrington
In the North West, heating efficiency is often the main benefit, with summer cooling a welcome bonus. If your home in Accrington is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit.
Where a house in Accrington has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Accrington lies roughly 14 miles from Preston, and we cover it as part of Lancashire. We cover BB5 and the streets around them.
Prices in Accrington
Our North West England guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,795 per room, VAT included. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical North West England labour rates. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. Typical Popular work (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) lands around £1,645–£2,245 in this area.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
The survey
We book surveys in Accrington at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. Surveys in Accrington cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
