Floor console air conditioning in Bromyard
Away from the coast, West Midlands summers can turn hot quickly, and bedrooms under the roof are the first to suffer. Where a house in Bromyard has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was.
Where a room in Bromyard has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Bromyard sits around 13 miles from Hereford, inside our Herefordshire area. We cover HR7 and the streets around them.

Our West Midlands guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,895 per room, VAT included. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. On a survey in Bromyard the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
