Floor console air conditioning in Ulverston
If your home in Ulverston is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. Milder summers in the North West mean designing for winter comfort as much as for a heatwave.
Where a house in Ulverston has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Ulverston lies roughly 49 miles from Carlisle, and we cover it as part of Cumbria. That includes the LA12 postcode district.

Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
The survey
On a survey in Ulverston the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. Surveys in Ulverston cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
