Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Redditch
Design-led units suit Redditch homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. Hot spells in the West Midlands are shorter but intense, especially in loft rooms and rooms with big windows.
In Redditch, a flat-fronted unit is a neat way to add cooling to a living room without a bulky white box. Our Worcestershire coverage takes in Redditch, about 14 miles from Worcester. Postcode districts we cover here include B97.
Prices in Redditch
For Redditch, expect roughly £1,795 to £3,595 per room, VAT included, adjusted for typical West Midlands rates. It sits near the middle of UK prices. What moves a quote in Redditch up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. As an example, the Flat-fronted option (flat panel unit in white, black or silver for a living room) would typically be £2,195–£2,895 here.

If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
The survey
A survey in Redditch usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
