Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Westminster
In London, heat soaks into brick and concrete during the day and comes back out at night, which is when it is hardest to sleep. In Westminster, a flat-fronted unit is a neat way to add cooling to a living room without a bulky white box.
For Westminster houses with decorated or panelled walls, a slim unit with concealed pipework keeps the room looking finished. Westminster sits within our London area. Postcode districts we cover here include SW1A, SW1E, SW1H, SW1P, SW1V and SW1W.
Prices in Westminster
Design-led air conditioning in Westminster typically comes in at £2,445–£4,795 per room including VAT, based on London rates. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in London. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. For reference, the Flat-fronted option in Westminster (flat panel unit in white, black or silver for a living room) usually comes to about £2,945–£3,895.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
A survey in Westminster usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
