Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Chalk Farm
Many London homes are flats or tall terraces, where heat rises to the top floor and the bedrooms bear the brunt of a hot spell. In Chalk Farm, a flat-fronted unit is a neat way to add cooling to a living room without a bulky white box.
Design-led units suit Chalk Farm homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. Chalk Farm sits around 3 miles from central London, inside our London area. Postcode districts we cover here include NW3.

If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
On a survey in Chalk Farm the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. Surveys in Chalk Farm cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
