Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Skelmersdale
In Skelmersdale, a flat-fronted unit is a neat way to add cooling to a living room without a bulky white box. Milder summers in the North West mean designing for winter comfort as much as for a heatwave.
Design-led units suit Skelmersdale homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. Skelmersdale is about 15 miles from Preston and falls within our Lancashire coverage. We cover WN8 and the streets around them.

Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. Surveys in Skelmersdale cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
