Air-to-air heat pumps in Devizes
Coastal breezes help, but inland South West towns and glazed rooms still see uncomfortable peaks. We size every heat pump in Devizes for a cold winter day, then check the cooling side is right for summer.
Homes in Devizes on electric, oil or LPG heating are the ones most likely to benefit from an air-to-air heat pump. Devizes lies roughly 17 miles from Swindon, and we cover it as part of Wiltshire. That includes the SN10 postcode district.
Prices in Devizes
Guide prices around Devizes run from £2,950 to £11,450 for 2–5 rooms including VAT. That is close to the UK middle for this kind of work. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. For reference, the Small home option in Devizes (three or four rooms heated and cooled) usually comes to about £4,450–£7,450.

Prices are shown before any Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant. The £2,500 air-to-air grant applies only to eligible homes in England and Wales, using an MCS-certified heat pump installed by an MCS-certified installer, who applies for the grant and deducts it from the price. We confirm eligibility, and which installer applies, before you commit.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Devizes, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
If your home in Devizes is replacing fossil fuel or electric heating, and no gas, oil or LPG boiler stays in use, an MCS-certified air-to-air heat pump may qualify for the £2,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant, which the MCS-certified installer claims and deducts from the price.
The survey
We book surveys in Devizes at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
