Wall-mounted air conditioning in Clydach
A single wall-mounted unit is often all a bedroom or sunny living room in Clydach needs. In South and Mid Wales, efficient heating is often as important as cooling.
In a semi or terrace in Clydach, the indoor unit often goes on a back bedroom wall with the outdoor unit on a bracket below. Clydach sits around 5 miles from Swansea, inside our West Glamorgan area. Homes in SA6 are all within our coverage.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. A survey in Clydach usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
