Planning and permissions
Outdoor units on Scottish homes can often be installed without a planning application, but the conditions differ from England's, so we confirm the rules for your property at survey.
The survey
Surveys in Kirkwall are arranged around travel. We confirm the date and any travel, ferry or accommodation cost in writing before you commit, then the survey covers rooms, pipe routes, electrics and noise as normal. Where travel is involved, we agree the survey arrangements and any travel cost up front. On the day, the engineer measures the rooms, checks the electrics and agrees the outdoor unit position with you.
