Smart controls and Wi-Fi upgrades in Stornoway

Smart controls and Wi-Fi upgrades in Stornoway

For a holiday home or annexe near Stornoway, Wi-Fi control lets you warm it up before anyone arrives. Wind and salt air in the north of Scotland mean outdoor unit placement and protection need extra thought.

Smart control is a simple upgrade for Stornoway homes with a working system but no app. Stornoway is one of the main towns we cover in Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles, alongside Kirkwall and Lerwick. We cover HS1 and the streets around them.

Prices in Stornoway

Budget around £85–£265 per indoor unit including VAT for smart controls and Wi-Fi upgrades in and around Stornoway. More indoor units, or older models that need an infrared controller instead of a plug-in adapter, are what move the price. Typical Whole system work (modules for two to four indoor units, one app) lands around £220–£545 in this area. Travel, ferry or accommodation costs for Stornoway are not in these figures. They are quoted to you as a fixed amount in writing before you book.

Permissions

Fitting a Wi-Fi module does not touch the refrigerant circuit and needs no planning permission; the only checks are model compatibility and a reliable signal at the indoor unit.

The visit

Because travel is involved, we confirm the visit date and the full price in writing first, and where possible combine visits to keep the cost down. Photos of the indoor unit's label and a description of the problem help us plan a visit to Stornoway properly and quote the full cost first.
