Smart controls and Wi-Fi upgrades in Newton Aycliffe
Smart control is a simple upgrade for Newton Aycliffe homes with a working system but no app. Cold, windy North East winters favour a well-sized heat pump with an outdoor unit sheltered from the prevailing wind.
Most home systems from the last decade can take a plug-in Wi-Fi adapter, and we confirm yours from the model number before visiting Newton Aycliffe. Newton Aycliffe is about 11 miles from Durham and falls within our County Durham coverage. That includes the DL5 postcode district.
Prices in Newton Aycliffe
For Newton Aycliffe, expect roughly £85 to £270 per indoor unit, VAT included, adjusted for typical North East England rates. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in North East England tend to be. More indoor units, or older models that need an infrared controller instead of a plug-in adapter, are what move the price. On our North East England figures, the Whole system option (modules for two to four indoor units, one app) is about £225–£545.

Permissions
Fitting a Wi-Fi module does not touch the refrigerant circuit and needs no planning permission; the only checks are model compatibility and a reliable signal at the indoor unit.
The visit
A photo of the indoor unit's label and a short description of the problem help us price the visit accurately and bring what is likely to be needed. We agree the visit price before we come. On the day the engineer checks the system, carries out the agreed work and talks you through anything they find.
