Air conditioning replacement and removal in Inverness
Wind and salt air in the north of Scotland mean outdoor unit placement and protection need extra thought. During building work in Inverness, units can be recovered and removed so the job can go ahead safely.
Replacements in Inverness can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. Inverness is one of the main towns we cover in the Highlands, alongside Fort William and Alness. We cover IV2 and the streets around them.
Prices in Inverness
Air conditioning replacement and removal in Inverness typically comes in at £175–£445 to remove and recover one system including VAT, based on Highlands, Islands and North East Scotland rates. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in the Highlands, Islands and North East Scotland tend to be. What moves a quote in Inverness up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. As an example, the Like-for-like option (replace one system using sound existing routes) would typically be £995–£1,995 here.

Planning and permissions
In Scotland, planning conditions for outdoor units depend on the property type and location; conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. Surveys in Inverness cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
