Air conditioning replacement and removal in Dorchester
Coastal breezes help, but inland South West towns and glazed rooms still see uncomfortable peaks. Units over fifteen years old in Dorchester homes are worth replacing before they fail completely.
During building work in Dorchester, units can be recovered and removed so the job can go ahead safely. Dorchester sits around 24 miles from Bournemouth, inside our Dorset area. That includes the DT1 postcode district.

Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
On a survey in Dorchester the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
