Air conditioning replacement and removal in Tiverton
Units over fifteen years old in Tiverton homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. Damp South West winters make the dehumidifying side of a heat pump almost as useful as its cooling.
Replacements in Tiverton can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. Tiverton lies roughly 46 miles from Plymouth, and we cover it as part of Devon. Postcode districts we cover here include EX16.
Prices in Tiverton
Air conditioning replacement and removal in Tiverton typically comes in at £195–£495 to remove and recover one system including VAT, based on South West England rates. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. On our South West England figures, the Like-for-like option (replace one system using sound existing routes) is about £1,150–£2,250.

Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
On a survey in Tiverton the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
