Air conditioning replacement and removal in St Neots
Units over fifteen years old in St Neots homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. Bright summers in the East of England mean solar gain through glass is usually the biggest load to design for.
Replacements in St Neots can often reuse an existing bracket and wall opening where they are sound. We cover St Neots as part of Cambridgeshire, roughly 25 miles from Peterborough. Homes in PE19 are all within our coverage.
Prices in St Neots
Our East of England guide price for air conditioning replacement and removal is £220–£545 to remove and recover one system, VAT included. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in the East of England. Quotes move with the length of the pipe run, where the outdoor unit can sit and how much electrical work the job needs. As an example, the Like-for-like option (replace one system using sound existing routes) would typically be £1,295–£2,495 here.

Like-for-like

Planning and permissions
For most houses in St Neots, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
We book surveys in St Neots at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. Surveys in St Neots cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
