Air conditioning replacement and removal in Kilwinning
Units over fifteen years old in Kilwinning homes are worth replacing before they fail completely. Long Scottish heating seasons make efficiency in cold, damp weather the thing to design around.
During building work in Kilwinning, units can be recovered and removed so the job can go ahead safely. We cover Kilwinning as part of Ayrshire, roughly 9 miles from Kilmarnock. Coverage includes KA13.
Prices in Kilwinning
In Central and Southern Scotland, our guide range for air conditioning replacement and removal is £180–£445 to remove and recover one system, including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical Central and Southern Scotland labour rates. What moves a quote in Kilwinning up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. As an example, the Like-for-like option (replace one system using sound existing routes) would typically be £1,045–£2,045 here.

Planning and permissions
Scotland has its own permitted development rules for heat pumps and outdoor units, with stricter treatment of listed buildings and conservation areas. We check the current position for your property with you and, if needed, with the council.
The survey
We book surveys in Kilwinning at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
