New build and renovation air conditioning in Heston
London's dense streets hold heat overnight, so top-floor flats and loft rooms often stay warm long after sunset. First-fix pipework in Heston extensions goes in while the joists and studs are open.
For new Heston extensions with flat roofs, the outdoor unit position is best agreed against the architect's drawings. Heston is about 11 miles from central London and falls within our London coverage. Coverage includes TW5.
Prices in Heston
In London, our guide range for air conditioning for new builds and renovations is £495–£1,195 per indoor position (first fix), including VAT. London is one of the dearer parts of the UK for trades, which shows in the range. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. Typical First and second fix work (complete install priced per room including units) lands around £1,895–£3,895 in this area.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Working with your builder
On build projects the main thing is timing with your builder and electrician; we fit first-fix pipework before plastering and agree the outdoor unit position early.
The survey
On a survey in Heston the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
