Multi-split air conditioning in Wrexham
Multi-split is a good fit for Wrexham flats and maisonettes where only a balcony or one rear wall is available. North Wales has mild, damp weather for much of the year, so efficient heating and dehumidifying are big benefits.
In a house in Wrexham with a usable loft, multi-split pipes can often run through it so the front stays clear. We cover Wrexham and the rest of Clwyd, including Buckley and Deeside. Coverage includes LL13.
Prices in Wrexham
In North Wales, our guide range for multi-split air conditioning is £2,295–£7,295 for 2–4 rooms, including VAT. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in North Wales tend to be. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. Typical Triple work (three rooms with mixed indoor styles and Wi-Fi control throughout) lands around £3,145–£5,095 in this area.
Twin
Two rooms on one outdoor unit, wall-mounted indoor units, standard routes.
Triple
Three rooms with mixed indoor styles and Wi-Fi control throughout.
Quad
Four or five rooms, longer concealed runs or a ducted unit in a loft void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. We book surveys in Wrexham at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
