Home gym and media room air conditioning in Godalming
In the South East, loft rooms and glazed extensions can climb well above the outside temperature on a sunny afternoon. Garage gyms and media rooms in Godalming often face the same problem: thin walls and a lot of heat from people and equipment.
Basement and garage rooms in Godalming usually need a quick check of the supply and the drainage route before quoting. Godalming sits around 10 miles from Woking, inside our Surrey area. Postcode districts we cover here include GU7.

The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Garage gym option (3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed) would typically be £2,145–£2,995 here.

Garage gym

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Godalming, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
On a survey in Godalming the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. We book surveys in Godalming at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
