Home gym and media room air conditioning in Egham
For a home cinema in Egham, we place the indoor unit so airflow stays away from the screen and seating. In the South East, loft rooms and glazed extensions can climb well above the outside temperature on a sunny afternoon.
Garage gyms and media rooms in Egham often face the same problem: thin walls and a lot of heat from people and equipment. Egham is about 8 miles from Woking and falls within our Surrey coverage. That includes the TW20 postcode district.
Prices in Egham
Our South East England guide price for air conditioning for home gyms and media rooms is £1,645–£4,095 per room, VAT included. South East England is one of the dearer parts of the UK for trades, which shows in the range. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. On our South East England figures, the Garage gym option (3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed) is about £2,145–£2,995.
Spare room
2.5–3.5 kW unit for a small gym or games room.
Garage gym
3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed.
Large space
5–7 kW unit or two units for a big gym or cinema room.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Egham, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
We book surveys in Egham at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
