Home gym and media room air conditioning in Peebles
Long Scottish heating seasons make efficiency in cold, damp weather the thing to design around. For a home cinema in Peebles, we place the indoor unit so airflow stays away from the screen and seating.
Basement and garage rooms in Peebles usually need a quick check of the supply and the drainage route before quoting. We cover Peebles as part of the Scottish Borders, roughly 15 miles from Galashiels. Postcode districts we cover here include EH45.

Budget around £1,245–£3,095 per room including VAT for air conditioning for home gyms and media rooms in and around Peebles. Labour rates in Central and Southern Scotland keep this slightly under the national middle. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. As an example, the Garage gym option (3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed) would typically be £1,595–£2,245 here.

2.5–3.5 kW unit for a small gym or games room.
Garage gym
3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In Scotland, planning conditions for outdoor units depend on the property type and location; conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care.
The survey
We book surveys in Peebles at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. On a survey in Peebles the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
