Home gym and media room air conditioning in Peckham
For a home cinema in Peckham, we place the indoor unit so airflow stays away from the screen and seating. In London, heat soaks into brick and concrete during the day and comes back out at night, which is when it is hardest to sleep.
Garage gyms and media rooms in Peckham often face the same problem: thin walls and a lot of heat from people and equipment. Peckham lies roughly 3 miles from central London, and we cover it as part of London. We cover SE15 and the streets around them.
Prices in Peckham
Air conditioning for home gyms and media rooms in Peckham typically comes in at £1,795–£4,395 per room including VAT, based on London rates. London is one of the dearer parts of the UK for trades, which shows in the range. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. Typical Garage gym work (3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed) lands around £2,295–£3,245 in this area.
Spare room
2.5–3.5 kW unit for a small gym or games room.
Garage gym
3.5–5 kW unit with supply check and pump if needed.
Large space
5–7 kW unit or two units for a big gym or cinema room.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
Surveys in Peckham cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
