Heat load surveys and system design in Swindon
Every Swindon quote starts with a room-by-room survey rather than a guess from floor area. In the South West, a system that heats well through damp winters is often as valuable as summer cooling.
For self-builds and extensions in Swindon, a standalone design pack can go straight to your builder. As well as Swindon itself, our Wiltshire coverage takes in Salisbury, Trowbridge and the towns around them. That includes the SN1, SN25, SN26 and SN38 postcode districts.
Prices in Swindon
Our South West England guide price for heat load surveys and system design is £395–£1,250 for a standalone design pack, VAT included. That is close to the UK middle for this kind of work. A standalone design pack is priced on the size of the home, the number of rooms and how much drawing work your builder or architect needs. On our South West England figures, the Design pack option (drawings and schedules for one home) is about £395–£795.

Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
We book surveys in Swindon at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. A survey in Swindon usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
